If you are a foreign national, in order to work legally in Poland, you must have a legal basis for staying in Poland that allows you to take up employment (in particular, a valid visa, a residence permit, a stamp in your passport confirming that the residence permit application process is ongoing, or be staying under the visa-free travel regime) and be authorized to work for a specific employer (in particular, based on a valid work permit, a declaration of intent to employ a foreigner from the District Labor Office, or be exempt from the requirement to hold a work permit).
